The SketchUp Residency is a project created and curated by artists Sid and Jim. Participating artists are asked to use 3D modelling software 'SketchUp' for the duration of their term. Artists consider the location, medium and of course, their own practice when forming concepts for their work; they are allowed to use any of the features that SketchUp offers. 

 

The SketchUp Projects exist within the same domain as the residency and operates alongside it and is where artists can submit proposals for anything SketchUp related and produce one off works or series for the site. Anything that can be featured on the website will be considered; anything from still images, to films, to 3D models.

SketchUp is a free 3D modelling program for a wide range of drawing applications such as architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, civil and mechanical engineering, film, and video game design.
